Bio Phos

Bio Phos is a liquid formulation containing phosphorus solubilizing bacterium Bacillus megatherium. When Bio Phos is applied or mixed with rock phosphate the beneficial microbe multiplies in multifold and do the job of phosphorus solubilization through their metabolism. Even though the commonly used rock phosphate contains 28-35% of phosphorus only 2-4% is available to the crop. Bacillus megatherium has the ability to bring above mentioned insoluble phosphates into soluble forms by secreting organic acids. These acids lower the pH and bring insoluble phosphates in soil into soluble forms of phosphates that are ultimately utilized by the plant. When you use Bio Phos with rock phosphates after about 15-20 days the phosphorus availability of rock phosphate will be

increased from 2-4 % to 15-20%. There by you can get the effect of applying single phosphate or Triple super Phosphate. Thus Eppawala rock phospate with Bio Phos could be used even in annuals inplace of triple super phosphate.

3 liters of Bio Phos is diluted in 180-200 liters of water and apply this solution to the rock phosphate treated soil around the root zone of the plants per acre.

10 liters of Bio phos diluted in 180-200 liters of water and apply this solution to the rock phosphate treated soil around the plants per acre.
